Bliss Bliss
I first heard of Etherwood on a Hospitality mix from 2013 or 14, then bought his Hospital mix CD that served as an uplifting anthem for the tiring portions of a 14hr car ride. A few months past, and I became impatiently poised to snag anything and everything that Etherwood's brain touched. Self-titled LP, then the "Souvenirs" single, and now his best work to date, "Blue Leaves". While the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, I must say that "CastAway" and "Souls Rejoined" are a breathe of fresh air exhaled into the liquid/soulful style of DnB, with both tracks quickly making their way into my Top 25 of 2015. I can't wait to see what's in store for Etherwood later this year and into 2016, and with Hospital being (relatively) quiet the past few months, I'm sensing a SickMusic vol4 or another compilation album that I'm sure Etherwood will be partaking in. Anyone who loves the beautiful side of Drum n Bass needs to procure this album, and this will most certainly stand the test of time with immense fortitude. A remix EP from the likes of OM Unit, Reso, and/or the Logisics/Nu:Tone camp would be an amazing schema+correction on a near flawless 12-track sophomore explosion.
