This is for the CD version. Track 1 Lachesis and track 3 Atropos are both 5 star. Track 2 Clotho is OK, maybe a 3 in and and of itself, but breaks up the flow of this release and honestly drags on too long and harshes the mellow established so well by the first track in my opinion. Admittedly I was hoping for a similar vibe as the first HR release, which the other two tracks pretty much deliver. Track 2 sounds more like a Mercury Rev song waiting for lyrics than a cohesive part of this Harmony Rockets release. I was rather disappointed when I played the CD through in it's entirety, as I'd streamed tracks 1 and 3 online prior to the CD's arrival. I even went so far as to prematurely give it a 5 star rating before even listening to the whole thing. The release was obviously intended for vinyl. Apparently by focusing on track lengths appropriate to vinyl, they've somewhat missed the mark that was set so high by Harmony Rockets' made-for-CD Paralyzed Mind of the Archangel Void in all it's glorious 40+ minutes of sheer musical ear ecstasy. If I could give the Lachesis / Clotho / Atropos CD a solid 33 1/3 out of 50 I would because that would be a two-thirds majority and that's all that's needed. I'm struggling to understand why they seemingly made this recording with vinyl-correctness in mind. Even the title seems to imply that it's intended to be a cohesive whole, although upon further review maybe not, as " / / " is open to interpretation and may even mean that there's supposed to be clearly demarcated space between each song. CD always has been and always will be a superior format in my humble opinion. The only thing better about vinyl is the tactile sensation of holding the album cover, and of course the artwork, but neither of these add anything to overall sound quality nor do they diminish surface noise.
