German trance artist Tommaso De Donatis certainly cranked out a good number of productions in the 1990s. There was the Organic Tea and De Tune projects on Dos or Die, as well as Fur Elise, the Plastix records on Upbeat (later licensed to Adrenalin) and perhaps most well known self-titled I-III releases that also appeared on Upbeat. This one blows them all out of the fucking water. I initially heard the Decay mix on one of the Acid Flash series and wrote it off (omnipresent vocals and uninspired 303 programming) as not worth pursuing. What a mistake that was! Years later managed to track down the vinyl and must say, this ranks up there with some of the finest acid trance records out there. Put this disc on the table, fire up the strobes, grab some good pale ales and take a trip to yesteryear, they don't make em like this anymore.
