If you google "Boards Of Canada new album", this album comes up for some reason.

My clear pressing also sounds good. No real crackles or pops

The clear vinyl version sounds not more than VG after several (maybe 5) plays, as does every clear vinyl record. Furthermore I find considerable low frequency rumbling noise in the beginning of Side A and B. An obvious mispress. It's a shame. Not enjoyable at all.

I wish I had read these comments before picking this up— mine has considerable noise.
Gralsa Gralsa
No real issue with pops and crackles on mine, no more than any other record that isn't trashed or obviously badly pressed. I'm guessing it's a luck of the draw thing with the transparent vinyl.
Mala Mala
My experience with the transparent edition:Side A: Flawless.Side B: Light crackles and the occasional pop. Certainly nothing bad enough to distract from the music.Side C: Almost flawless, very clean, especially considering how quiet the audio is on this side.Side D: First half is flawless, second half has some light crackles.Overall, this is a decent pressing - any issues are very minor and nothing that should prevent people from enjoying. That's my experience, anyway.

Mine plays very smooth, no noise at all!Beautiful release.Regards from Munich

You guys better check that the crackling and pops are not from the non-fill. It is very hard to see on clear vinyl but my copy was filled with it. Same goes for the black copy. There are some huge dynamic range shifts on this album (quiet parts with bursts of loud deep bass). Clearly the pressing plant dropped a ball on this. If this would of have been 2x140g there probably wouldnt be as much problems as there is now.

My copy of the clear version also has lots of pops and crackles.
Yanki Yanki
My clear copy is extremely noisy. Lots of pops and ticks. Is the black better?

please tell me that the records glow in the dark...
Impala Frozen Impala Frozen
my own clear pressing is very good, no pop or crakle.

Touching and delicate with bountiful amounts of heartfelt emotions. Profound music in many ways.Terrible that the "clear" vinyl pressing is royalty garbage sonically with pops and crackles through and through.

That is sad to hear, I paid quite a lot for mine.

I have the clear issue of this and it just doesn't sound that great. Lots of pops. Anyone else experiencing anything similar?
Prince Persie Prince Persie
Yes , terrible pressing for such delicate music. Kind of a joke actually.Mega pops and cracke everywhere

I bought this as part of the Rough Trade Album Club. The LP came with the instant download of the album from the Rough Trade Shops website. When the album arrived in the mail it contained a piece of photocopied paper with a download code on it for three bonus tracks to be downloaded from the Deutsche Grammophon website and a download card from Deutsche Grammophon for a download of the LP itself. Interestingly, the Rough Trade download was marked as 'Stereo' in the file information of the mp3s whereas the Deutsche Grammophon downloads are marked as 'mono'. Now, I have decent ears and a good music system but I cannot discern the difference. Does this file labelling mean anything phonically?

Dear Mr. Milton,Thank you very much for reporting this. The download files from the "from SLEEP" LP were in fact accidently uploaded as "mono" instead of "stereo" at first, which was reported by other users and already fixed. You can now download the fixed version on the download page on the myDG section of our website. We are very sorry for the inconvenience you have exprienced!Best regards,Miguel NeivaDeutsche Grammophon Customer Service Team

it sounds excellent, also the blue notebooks repress on deutsche grammophon sounds better than the 130701 release.the double lp of reworks of the four seasons also has great package and sound(die cut gatefold sleeve with printed inners and superb sound quality of the vinyl). In short great releases of max richter by deutsche grammophon
